vajrasana or Diamond pose: How to do it,benefits and precautions: 


vajrasana or Diamond pose-


Vajrasana is a derived from two sanskrit word 'Vajra' means 'Diamond' and 'Asana' means 'posture'.Vajrasana is that simple sitting asana in which we transfer our body weight to our bend knees and sit on a heels. Vajrasana is the one best way of meditation and calming mind asana because it helps to relax our mind and remove stress.This exercise makes a men strong or hard like a diamond.That's why we also says Diamond pose.This is also known as Kneeling or Thunderbolt pose.

Vajrasana is a simple sitting yoga pose that helps to practice many other asana or poses.If  you wants to relax and calms your mind vajrasana is the way because we know that Yoga is the best way for meditation and remove stress.Do this asana daily helps you to improves blood circulation,removes tension,improves our digestive etc.Practice this asana in a morning with a empty stomach to take effective results.


How to do it:

  • For diamond pose,you need to keep your feet straight and sit Dandasana.
  • and then you will bend your knee and then keep your right heel close to your hip and then shift your body weight towards your right.
  • after it you can shift your body weight to right to use your arm to take support and now bend your left knee also,
  • and then sit in between your heels.
  • Your left and right heel should be a little further from your hip and both the thumbs on your feet are touching each other at all times
  • While you are sitting in between.Lift up your chest,so make sure you are not collapsing in the postures
  • Both of your palms will remain on your knees.
  • Lift up your chest and close your eyes.
  • Once you close your eyes,you have a need to breathe five to ten times.
  • Then slowly open your eyes and you can release your postures one by one.
  • and you can sit any comfort position.

  • Spine injury person should not practice this asana.
  • Thighs pain problem person should not practice it.

Early morning is the best way to practice Vajrasana with empty stomach.This is the one asana in which you practice it after eating after because this also helps to removes the acidity or gas problem and improves our digestive system.But the early morning is the best to practice with empty stomach to take effective results.There is no rule to practice it,you will also practice anytime in a day.

Beginner's Tips:


In a beginning anyone cannot practice asana perfectly.If you feel difficulty to practice Vajrasana in starting please appoint an expert or trainner that helps you to practice it perfectly when you do it daily ten to fifteen minutes.we know that practice always makes a people perfect.Make sure that if you have any ankles,knees,back or thighs injury you should avoid this asana.
