Vrikshasana is make from two sanskrit words 'Vriksh' means 'tree' and 'Asana' means 'pose'. This is the one of the best yoga pose for meditation  because from the past the Rishis and other gurus in India practiced this posture for meditation or to connect with a god. How to do Vrikshasana or Tree Pose:

  • To do this posture firstly,stand straight with your feet at a distance of 2 inches from one another.
  • Now,focus on the point in front of your eyes and then let a long deep breathe out.
  • Now,slowly bend your right leg,raise it up and rest it on the inner thigh of left leg.
  • Make sure that your heel is touching in the prelim area.
  • after come this posture take a deep breathe in and slowly raise your arms over the head and join your hands so that your palms touch each other in a namaskar position.
  • Hold the pose for 20-30 seconds.
  • Make sure that breathe in and out normally.

How to release the posture:

  • After hold the posture for 20-30 seconds breathe out normally and then bring your arms down slowly.
  • Now,lower your right leg to the ground and stand straight.
  • Then,take a deep breathe in and exhale slowly.
  • This the one cycle of vrikshasana or tree pose.
  • Now,repeat the posture with the another leg.
